My business was at risk because I was forced to be late
When I saw what was going on & how the heating & A/C equipment worker was going to be late causing me to be late to my wedding gig, I called my assistant to get there & start playing the tunes until I arrived
I actually am a DJ for weddings & I operate pretty much always on my own! But last year I had hired an assistant in the event something happened where I was especially late for a gig, he could take my locale until I arrived. I was so ecstatic I did this looking back, because just the other day I had a gig & I was essentially forced to be late! The reason was that my central heating & A/C equipment broke down & I had to wait for the local heating & cooling corporation to send out 1 of their certified heat & cooling system specialists. They were totally running late & did not show up within the time window that they had given to me. When I saw what was going on & how the heating & A/C equipment worker was going to be late causing me to be late to my wedding gig, I called my assistant to get there & start playing the tunes until I arrived. It was a win/win situation all around, but had I not had my assistant, I would have been in fairly deep trouble & possibly ruined my corporation by being late for something like a wedding! These heating & A/C equipment companies really need to get their acts together when it comes to arriving on time to an HVAC service appointment if you ask me! Possibly in the future I will deal with independent heating & A/C equipment suppliers. From what I hear they are more personable & basically always on time. HVAC companies just can not compete to be honest.
