I wish that I had become an HVAC technician instead
I really wish that I had become an HVAC technician instead of an accountant.
I guess back when I first got out of high school, I didn’t really have much of an idea about what I wanted to do with my life.
It was a confusing time for me, that’s for sure. Back then, I really thought that I wanted to go to school to get a business degree. However, after I got started with my degree, I realized that the classes that I was taking were so boring that I could barely stand them. I couldn’t change majors at that point and so I ended up staying in school and finishing up with my business degree. But then once I got out of school, I didn’t want to do any kind of work that had to do with business! I gave up on it and then I decided to go to the local technical school to get an HVAC certification. This wasn’t something that I had ever really planned for, but it just seemed to be the right thing to do once I got started. I really enjoyed learning all about heating and cooling technology. It’s like I was a natural at that kind of thing and so I decided that the best thing for me to do was to go to work as an HVAC technician. I wish that I had never gone to business school at all, though. I have a ton of debt because of it, and now I’m just working as an HVAC technician instead, anyway. Maybe one day I will end up owning my own HVAC company so I can use my degree and my certification too.
