I was having issues with the ductwork
I accepted this, and he did his repairs.
I knew when moving into this home, that I was likely to have HVAC issues in the future. That was something that I was warned about ahead of time, and I bought this home knowing that it needed a lot of repairs. But I have always found fixing up homes to be exciting and an interesting challenge. So far, all of my repairs have been going well. However, the ductwork issues I have been having have been persistence. When I had a HVAC worker come out to look at the air ducts, he told me that the heating and cooling ductwork had extensive damage on the inside, and while he could patch it up, it may need more repairs in the future, or I might have to outright buy a new HVAC machine. I accepted this, and he did his repairs. Well, the repairs lasted about 6 months before the HVAC component was struggling to heat and cool the home again. I already knew that my central HVAC machine could not work without functioning ductwork, and I also knew that installing new ductwork was incredibly expensive, and so, I decided to go ahead and get an entirely new heating and A/C system, a ductless A/C unit. Ductless air conditioning is just that, a HVAC device that does not require any kind of air ducts in order to work. The ductless mini split turned out to be the right choice, because it was not only cheaper, but I haven’t had heating and cooling issues since.
