Had to open up store for work and there was no a/c

The place that I work at now is a small family-owned business.

  • They make a relaxing amount of money each season however they don’t feel the need to spend money their employees a whole ton or hire a lot of employees as well.

There’s only about two employees who work full-time and that’s legitimately all that they hire when it comes to full-time. Mostly I work the opening of the store shifts. My job is to make sure that the store is open, the open flag is up and that the doors are unlocked. I also have to party and prep a lot of the sandwich food so that when supper time comes around my nice friend and I are ready to make sandwiches. One afternoon when I was walking into the store to open it up I realized that the store was entirely hot and humid. I went to turn on the a/c through the temperature control however I didn’t hear it kick on. I decided to talk to a director about it and my nice friend and I waited around for about an hour to see if the a/c would work at all. It didn’t end up turning on so my nice friend and I decided to call the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C worker that constantly works on our heating and cooling at the store. He inspected the temperature control and he said it looked fine. He had a feeling that it was the entire a/c unit itself. When you look at the a/c unit it looks like something from the brick age because it’s so old. It turns out that the a/c unit was completely done, the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C worker had to substitute the entire thing.
