People are constantly asking about paying to use our private park as a wedding site.

Of course both of us allow that however both of us don’t keep any sort of nice accommodations for weddings.

This means people have to hire outside companies to bring in chairs, tables, as well as everything else they might need for their weddings. It also means both of us can only charge them the general admission fee. This Spring both of us realized it was time to take a risk as well as change all of that. The two of us hired a construction repair company to come in as well as set up a wedding section overlooking the lake as well as the important and vast oak tree. The business build a gondola as well as bench seating for over 100 people. There are also tables as well as just about everything else needed for their wedding. I have to say that it looks amazing. The construction repair undoubtedly did an outstanding task. It looks so nice that I almost want to get married again. Even better for us is the fact that both of us can rent out this wedding venue for significantly more currency than both of us were earning with only charging general admission. It is $2,000 just to use the section for half a day. The great thing is that both of us are already getting dozens of reservations. People like the new, more current wedding space. I just wish that both of us had hired the business a few years ago however I’ve constantly been narrow with currency. But now I am questioning that. The two of us undoubtedly need a current welcome center as well as I am trying to talk myself into parting with more currency hiring the construction repair to build that too. After all, it will improve the feel and look of the park.

Construction

I recently bought a house that has a proper master entryway that comes with a giant closet.

When I saw the closet I was just giddy with excitement.

I finally can have a room to put all our clothing, shoes, hats and jewelry in. The local woman before set up icky closet shelving and unusual heights for bars. I ended up going through and removing everything, cleaning the space, mudding the holes and repainting it. Now I can tell you that I have a giant open space with no ideas on what to do next. I don’t want to mess up our entire closet. I get a single occasion to have the right amount of storage. I tried really hard at designing our own closet online with no success. I finally had to call myself a custom furniture builder to help me. The girl took a look at our space and easily seemed to understand what she was doing. She told myself and others to measure our clothing that hangs nicely now. How long does everything hang to? How much space does it take up properly hanging? She also asked myself and others how many pairs of shoes I have. She wanted to know all about our jewelry if I wanted it hanging in the opening or hidden away. I gave all the details she asked for and the girl has gone crazy organizing the space. She has 2 short closet bars. One hangs rather high up and sets far back. One is lower and towards the open space. This is so I can easily hang dresses on a single bar and they hang behind our blouses on the lower bar.

The bathroom connected to the master entryway is just awful to look at.

It is laid out so cramped even though the space is big. The sink is already way too wide, there is a giant closet and the door opens into the space, chopping it into unfortunate pieces significantly. My spouse and I don’t easily have an eye for design. I went ahead and ended up calling an interior design and custom furniture building business to help us with the design. I got a professional to walk in the bathroom and make new ideas for us. The man suggested increasing the way the door swings, removing the closet all together, thus easily turning the toilet and putting the sink in a new spot. She gave us a drawing of how the space is going to look and it will be utterly amazing. The interior designer is doing all the strenuous work of going through and picking out brick for the floors, shower and paint colors for the bathroom. I trust the professional women completely. She even is getting switch plate covers, lights, a brand new sink vanity and a shower head for me! Everything is going to be a contemporary look and mesh together. The furniture builder is working to get myself and others brand new built in cubbies inside of the bathroom. This way I don’t need to have myself a giant closet or a sink with storage. The cubbies will hold towels, toiletries and eventually look classy however be out of the way. The cubbies will be nicely hidden in the corner of the wall too. I am going to acquire so much extra space with the bathroom.

Whoever designed our home clearly didn’t cook very often.

There is no counter space to work on at all.

The stove is basically near a tight corner, so that counter space isn’t comfortable to use. On the other side of the stove right now is a tiny little counter because a door opens up right next to it. Across the massive stove is the fridge and pantry that opens into the closet. The last section is the old school dishwasher and microwave. I don’t guess how anyone could cook in the home with absolutely nowhere to set food, then currently I have an outdated card table set up directly in the middle of the home office that I use. It looks awful however I need the extra square footage. Thankfully I have been coordinating with a furniture builder to try to get a home office island built. I want a home office island that can rest easily against the wall in the kitchen section without being in the way. It also needs to be set up on wheels so I can actually maneuver it towards the stove or fridge. The local furniture builder has the island right now set up to be a large moveable chopping block and a hidden garbage can installed with it. On a single hand, I don’t want to have the island be too heavy to easily move. On the other hand, it would be nice if it has dual purposes for everyone. I can’t wait for when our custom home island is finally completely ready.

The two of us have always had a severe wasp problem in this area… They build these really small mud nests over the doorways as well as under the eaves.

I called up the wasp rescue place as well as asked them to come out in a jiffy. Thankfully they showed up before my partner got back home with his wasp spray. He was annoyed but he couldn’t do anything except watch as the professionals dealt with the wasp situation. Based on all of the wasps we saw, I know he is cheerful that I called the professionals.

I called up the wasp rescue locale and asked them to come out instantly. Happily they showed up before my husband got back with his new wasp spray purchase. He was agitated but he couldn’t do anything except watch as the professionals took on the wasp situation. Based on all of the wasps we saw, I am really thankful that they were there to take care of everything.

My husband and I have three dogs.

The dogs are large and have tons of energy.

If left in the house all day, they create havoc. We come home from work to tipped over furniture, damage and fur all over the place. We thought about building an outdoor enclosure but couldn’t find anything big enough to properly accommodate our pets. We realized that we needed to quardon off the whole backyard. Building a fence around it would provide the dogs plenty of space to play, run and burn off extra energy. With the right fence, we’d be able to let the dogs remain outside while we were away at work. It would also make it a lot easier to let the dogs outside to go to the bathroom. Our big priority was that the dogs would be safely contained. We couldn’t risk them running off and getting lost. At first, we thought we could handle building the fence ourselves. However, our property isn’t flat. There’s all sorts of slopes that make it difficult to construct anything. After walking the property and making a plan for the fence, we realized we needed professional help. We did some research online and found a fencing company with good customer reviews. We gave them a call and got an estimate for a vinyl fence. Although the cost was higher, we chose vinyl because of its durability and longevity. Vinyl resists wear and tear, isn’t impacted by the weather, doesn’t corrode or rust and can be cleaned with water. The expense of putting in a fence was significant. Having the fence has been such a relief. I can let the dogs out in the morning, head to work and know they will be happy and safe.

I was reading one of the HVAC blogs that I follow, and the writer mentioned something called a smart thermostat unit that I thought sounded amazing.

Last year, my husband got me a new smart thermostat system for my birthday. Now, before you go getting all mad at my husband for buying me something useful instead of something like flowers or jewelry, know that I am a very practical kind of woman. I hate getting gifts like lingerie, jewelry, or fancy clothes and purses. I’m just not that kind of girl. I actually prefer getting gifts that are more practical. Anyway, last year, our thermostat was on the blink and it was driving me crazy. I changed the batteries in it several times, just to make sure that a dead or a dud battery wasn’t the problem. Apparently, that wasn’t it, because the heating and cooling system just wouldn’t run the right way. When I called our local HVAC company to see what they thought the problem might be, they said that to them, it sounded as if our thermostat unit ahd gone bad. That’s when I started doing some research on different types of thermostat units. I was reading one of the HVAC blogs that I follow, and the writer mentioned something called a smart thermostat unit that I thought sounded amazing. With a smart thermostat, you can adjust the temperature on your HVAC system from anywhere that has wifi. That’s because smart thermostats come with an app that you can install on your smartphone. I love the whole idea of being able to run my heating and cooling system right from my phone! I would have to say that the new thermostat has been one of my favorite birthday gifts ever.

My family and I go to my grandparents house every year for Christmas Eve.

• My grandparents have a big party with snacks, food, drinks, and presents.

The tradition has been occurring for the past 20 years. Even though my grandparents live 2 hours away from our house, we still continue the tradition every year. This year things could have been better. Halfway to the house, the heater stopped working. My Dad pulled over on the side of the road, but he couldn’t figure out why the heater wasn’t working. He tried a few different things to resolve the issue, but nothing seemed to help. Since the malfunctioning heater wasn’t affecting the mechanical system, my Dad got back on the road. By the time we got to our destination, the temperature inside the car was about fifty degrees. Thankfully, Mom packed a bunch of extra blankets and jackets in the trunk. We were all bundled up in the backseat with our gloves, hats, scarves, and blankets to keep us warm. Dad and Grandpa worked on the heater while we drank eggnog by the fireplace and warmed up our cold hands and feet. I thought they would figure out the problem before dinner was over, but they didn’t have much luck. Dad couldn’t fix the heat that night because all of the part stores were closed for the holidays. It was a simple $15 replacement part from the appliance store, but he didn’t have a chance to grab the part until Monday morning. We had to ride all the way home on Christmas eve without any heat.

I am completely and totally fed up with looking for a job.

I decided to move back home last month, when my dad was diagnosed with cancer.

I knew he wasn’t going to be able to take care of himself and someone had to be there to help. My brother couldn’t come back home because he was in the military in another country. My sister has two kids and a husband and she couldn’t help either. I was the only one left to carry the heavy load, so I packed up my apartment and moved back home. I was working as an HVAC technician before I moved and I thought it would be easy to get another job once I came back to town. I knew there were a couple of HVAC repair companies in the area. I had a glowing letter of recommendation from my previous company and a list of references, but nobody called me for an interview. As soon as I got back to town, I started putting applications in to every single HVAC repair company. I had a single interview and the guy was surprised that I was a woman. He didn’t even want to finish the interview after I walked through the door. He came right out and told me that I didn’t look strong enough to carry the equipment. He was convinced that I could not perform the job as well as a man. The guy didn’t come right out and use those words, but he absolutely won’t hire me just because I am a woman. I’m sure I could call the labor board and file a complaint, but I don’t want to work for someone that won’t value me as a person and an employee.
