Never should have purchased him a smart thermostat
Sometimes I question the decisions that I’ve made, however i often suppose something is going to be a good idea and I am disappointed later on.
It seems like I am always eating our words and taking back the strong opinions that I had, and recently, this was the case when I had to divulge that our outdated dial thermostat was a better choice than this brand modern fancy smart thermostat.
I never would have thought not there would be a downside to upgrading our air temperature control system. From everything that I had heard, smart thermostats were the wave of the future, people had been shouting from the rooftops about their energy savings, HVAC plan service, and automatic temperature control programming. I was gleeful to be a area of the next wave of HVAC technology. It took several weeks for me to convince our husband that it was a good idea to replace our heating and cooling system, however after the people I was with and I finally purchased the brand modern smart thermostat I was ready to gloat about our reduced energy bills and improved indoor air pollen levels. Instead, I found myself shooting myself in the foot. It turns out, smart thermostats can be definitely good if you are not addicted to your PC. Unluckyly, our husband is anything but, and since the people I was with and I installed the smart thermostat I suppose his PC has seen more of him than I have… He’s regularly checking on our indoor air pollen levels control and energy expenditure. In the middle of conversations he will check up on the air-conditioning settings and forced air furnace service schedule. He knows if I transfer the thermostat up or down 1 degree… This was a terrible idea.
