Decided to get a portable A/C device in the middle of the night at hotel
Have you ever been on a really terrible vacation before? Unfortunately, I truly have… I can’t tell you the amount of trips I’ve attempted to create for me & my loved ones that have completely gone down the toilet.
It seems like everything is perfectly laid out & every loose end is tied..! Until you actually get on the road & start going about your adventure… Suddenly, everything can go wrong abruptly.
This has truly been the case when it has come to broken down vehicles, disfigured cargo carriers, & especially bad hotels. I absolutely can’t tell you the amount of times we have checked into a local hotel only to find out that the conditions are completely subpar. Specifically, the air conditioning devices are usually subpar. I have had numerous uncomfortable experiences in hotel rooms without any working heating, cooling, or ventilation equipment. It seems like those little mini split ductless heating & cooling systems that they install in hotel rooms often fail to deliver any actual heat or cooling. I will never forget the time that we checked into a hotel in the midst of an overheated & humid summer time only to find that there was no a/c in the room. The air was incredibly overheated & oppressively humid. There was no way we were going to be able to sleep in that air condition-less environment. It was so exhausting that in the middle of the night we actually decided to leave the hotel… To drive to the local immense box store & purchase a portable a/c unit. Why not? Just one more crazy adventure.
