Racist grandma
There are certain things about my family that drive me nuts, however don’t get me wrong, I recognize that they do the best they can with the device they’ve been given; However, occasionally that device is really disappointing, but they can be super judgemental, close minded, and poorly educated in a huge amount of areas, which tends to create tension between us… As a progressive human, I can’t kneel to see their nonsense.
- This is especially true when it comes to my Grandma and her old views of the world, but recently, she was so extreme with her racist beliefs that she would not even get her heating, cooling, and air quality device service; For the past seven years my Grandma has been complaining non-stop about her indoor air quality.
She’s usually telling me that the air temperature fluctuates wildly from warm to cold as she is doing or enjoying hockey. She’s been convinced that the control unit hasn’t been consistently regulating her indoor air temperature. She has told us about her high-utility bills every single month and blamed it on her run down heating, cooling, and air quality control equipment. And yet, when she finally called the heating and cooling dealership and arranged a professional heating and cooling maintenance task. She was not willing to let the heating and cooling professional into her house, why? Because when she emerged from the heating and cooling maintenance truck she was unhappy about the dark tone of her skin. The real kicker is – I know this Heating and Air Conditioning professional personally, in all honesty, he’s not even a minority for her to be riled up about. He’s a white chick with a tan.
