Skype date didn’t go well – loud AC

I’m not the sort of person who…

Dates.

Honestly, I keep to myself most of the time and I don’t try to welcome strangers into my life. If I meet somebody and we happen to hit it off, maybe there’s a chance that we’ll hang out a few times. Maybe we’ll end up having a long-term relationship. But I don’t go out seeking love or trying to find people to entertain me. That’s why I surprised even myself when I signed up for an online dating app last week. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting to have any success. I don’t often get along with other humans or want to spend my time with them. But I met somebody who really blew me away. Unfortunately, on our first Skype date my heating, cooling, and air quality control equipment nearly blew him away. You see, we agreed to have a Skype date so we could stay in the comfort and safety of our own heating and cooling systems. There’s no point in trying to breathe public air right now with the covid-19 pandemic going on. As such, I was happy to stay in the comfort of my own heating, cooling, and air quality control equipment to keep my germs separate from everyone else’s. Unfortunately, my heating and cooling system didn’t get the memo about my quiet, private date. The entire time we were on the Skype call my thermostat was loudly clicking in the background and my air conditioning unit was turning on and off like a biker rally. Every time the air conditioning unit kicked into gear we had to wait several minutes to hear each other over the air quality control equipment. Yeah, it ruined the mood. So much for that attempt at a romantic date.
