We had no choice but to pick up a portable A/C when staying at hotel
Have you ever been on a really awful holiday before? Regrettably, I really have… I can’t tell you the amount of trips I have attempted to create for myself and others that have completely gone down the toilet.
It seems as though everything is well laid out and every loose end is tied…until you absolutely get on the road in addition to start your adventure! Suddenly, everything can go wrong hastily.
This has really been the case when it has come to broken down vehicles, disfigured cargo carriers, and especially awful hotels. I easily can’t tell you how many times all of us have checked into a local hotel only to discover that the conditions are subpar. Specifically, the air conditions are usually so far. I have had so many uncomfortable nights in hotel rooms without any actual working heating, cooling, or ventilation equipment. It honestly seems like those little mini split ductless heating in addition to cooling systems that they install in hotel rooms commonly fail to supply any actual heat or cooling. I shall never forget the time that all of us checked into a hotel in the middle of a hot and humid summer time day only to find that there was no a/c in the room. The air was absolutely swelteringly and oppressively humid. There was no way all of us were going to be able to get any rest in that air condition-less environment. It was so terrible that in the middle of the night all of us ended up leaving the hotel… To drive to the local big box store in addition to buy a portable a/c unit. Why not? Just a single more adventure for us.
