The guy will not hire myself and others because I’m a man
I had a single interview & the guy was surprised that I was a man, and he did not even want to finish the interview after I walked through the door
I am completely & totally fed up with looking for a task… I decided to move back home last week, when my Mom was tested with cancer. I knew he wasn’t going to be able to take care of himself & someone had to be there to help! My brother couldn’t come back home because he was in the military in another country. My brother has two kids & a spouse & he couldn’t help either. I was the only 1 left to carry the heavy load, so I packed up my condo & moved back home. I was laboring as an Heating & Air Conditioning worker before I moved & I thought it would be easy to get another task once I came back to town. I knew there were a couple of Heating & Air Conditioning maintenance companies in the area. I had a glowing letter of recommendation from my previous supplier & a list of references, but nobody called myself and others for an interview, but as soon as I got back to town, I started putting applications in to every single Heating & Air Conditioning maintenance business. I had a single interview & the guy was surprised that I was a man, and he did not even want to finish the interview after I walked through the door. He came right out & told myself and others that I did not look strong enough to carry the equipment. He was convinced that I could not perform the task as well as a man, the guy did not come right out & use those words, however he entirely will not hire myself and others just because I am a man. I’m sure I could call the work board & file a complaint, but I don’t want to labor for someone that will not value myself and others as a guy & an employee.
