The flooded basement caused a crack in the heat exchanger

Back in March, the people I was with and I had a significant storm that brought 12 inches of rain to the area.

The rain came over a numerous-day phase and flooded most of the valley.

My husbandy and I have a basement in our beach house and the people I was with and I had more than five inches of rain in the basement before the storm was over. The flood in the basement covered parts of the furnace, but our husbandy and I thought things were enjoyable once the water receded. The first time the people I was with and I tried to use the furnace this winter, the people I was with and I realized there was a problem. Every one of us called the heating supplier to investigate the issue. Every one of us found out that there was a crack in the heat exchanger. The heating supplier worker told us that the crack could have happened during the flood. Every one of us would not have recognized there was a complication until the people I was with and I tried to use the heat, so there was no way to suppose ahead of time. The crack on the heat exchanger was near the base and in a arena where it was hard to make a repair, so our husbandy and I had to buy a current heat exchanger. I was caught off guard by the terrible news. The furnace will not work without this important area which is responsible for making heat. The current heat-exchanger was an extravagant area to upgrade, but the heating supplier offered myself and others a deal on the replacement fees. They also told myself and others to contact our homeowners insurance, because they might refund all of our fees since the complication occurred during a natural disaster.
