Working in SEO doesn’t mean we have the same job.
When I tell someone that I work as part of a web design team, they assume I am creating a website.
It really boggles their mind when I tell them my boyfriend works for the same web design team. Neither of us actually builds the websites. We have nothing to do with web design except for the SEO that I create. My boyfriend and I need to know what SEM, PPC and SEO are. There are so many different parts to a SEO business. My boyfriend works in finance. He runs the numbers on the cost of expenses for the corporation. He handles payment and plans out the business trip expenses. He also works with different clients and how much they pay for the SEO package they choose. He does nothing with web building or search engine optimization. I don’t do this either. I only work with social media platforms for our buyers. I create twitter, facebook, and google business posts for each of our clients. This is being done throughout the week. I get to choose a theme for each month and I use that theme for all of our businesses. Many of our clients are heating and air conditioning companies. I choose heating in the winter and I stick with the services and products they offer. I really need to be creative at times since not all of our customers live in the north. Those who live in the south may not have any use for heating. We also work with cannabis dispensaries and fitness companies, where heating may not be appropriate. It may not be the most exciting work, but it is an easy job that pays well.
