Not all HVAC units work like they’re supposed to

Not all HVAC units work like they’re supposed to, and I learned this the hard way.

  • When I purchased my own first window air conditioner for my house, I was so excited to plug it in and turn it on, but it didn’t go like I thought it would.

I plugged in the window air conditioner, and pressed the power button, but nothing happened. I tried a few different things, I even inserted an air filter in it, even though it had nothing to do with the problem. After trying everything, I went back to the heating and cooling business and told them the problems that my window air conditioner was having and they said to bring it in and they would see what they could do. When I brought in the window air conditioner, they looked at it and said there was a faulty computer in it. The heating and cooling business apologized and gave me a new window air conditioner free of charge. I bought the new window air conditioner back home and was thrilled when it turned on like it was supposed to. I said all of this to say that not all HVAC units work like you might think they should when you first get them. Sometimes, especially in furnaces, there are small problems that can be fixed on your own, or it may be a bigger problem that you may need to take to an HVAC technician, or simply take the furnace back to the heating and cooling business and get it replaced. This is why it is very important to get insurance on your HVAC units.
