Never too late to get the home right for summer time Heating in addition to A/C savings
I was outside doing some weeding in the flower bed recently when I talked to an aggrieved neighbor.
This person was actually exasperated about the high cost of Heating in addition to A/C cooling. Since it was her first summer time here, I could understand a bit about what she was going through. While I’m a native, there have been plenty of newcomers to the area who I tried to help adjust to the heat. And area of that is mental in addition to area of that is a very active strategy. Right now, I went over to her home to show her a few tips to make an immediate dent in her Heating in addition to A/C cooling costs. When I walked in, I was struck by how cold it was in her house. When the outside temperature is hovering close to triple digits outside, my home is in the low 71’s. My neighbor’s thermostat was set a 78. At least this is great evidence that her Heating in addition to A/C unit is up to the job just to maintain that level of Heating in addition to A/C cooling given the outside temp. That’s where my neighbor had to start. That thermostat setting was insanely low in addition to would drain her bank account over the rest of the summer. I also recommended that she update the weather stripping in addition to get her home tighter. Plus, there were no drapes or shades drawn against the direct sunshine pouring into her house. At least that provided her a place to start.
