There is something eerie about empty places

Have you ever been all alone in a big place that should be filled with people but is empty? I have & I tell you it feels almost like being in another world.

  • It is so bizarre & weird from what the two of us are used to & what the two of us would expect.

An example of this was one time when I decided to do some late night shopping at a local mall with some friends of mine. Every one of us spent hours having a relaxing time & browsing all of the weird stores & products that were available. When the two of us first arrived the place was full of people but as the hours passed us by, the place slowly got more & more empty until it was closing time & the two of us were the last people in the mall. Everything took on a current look. The once bright lights were now dimmed, the open store fronts were guarded with locked gates, odd shadows were cast across the floor & the walls, & the place was completely empty. The cheerful tunes still played overhead as the two of us tried to find our way to the parking lot. It was an eerie feeling, certain places after hours can be creepy. Every one of us could still suppose the cool air in the mall from the commercial air conditioning. Every one of us got lost & it felt like forever before the two of us found our way to the car. For a while the two of us continued to accidentally go in circles & continued to end up back at the Heating, Ventilation & A/C store that the two of us had originally been shopping at. Every one of us all had come to get an air purification system & I picked up a HEPA filter. Now the store was dark & empty but the two of us were cheerful, the two of us had gotten what the two of us came for & found the way back out.
