Installing the new HVAC during a heavy snowstorm

It has been snowing for a couple of days and the roads were a mess.

Everything was covered in snow.

Most businesses had shut down but we managed to keep operating throughout the snowstorm. We had specialized trucks to ferry the heating technicians from one job to the next. The home comfort business managed to take up most jobs within the town and that meant a lot of profit. The heating corp’s owner was a woman with plans. She had invested the profits in the purchase of trucks that could power through the snow while ferrying our professionals. This took care of replenishing the stock at the different heating provider stores scattered throughout the town. This afternoon after handling boiler repairs at a customer’s house, we were called to another customer’s house. This customer wanted to have a new HVAC installed and the old central heating uninstalled. We had specialized in heating and knew more about heating more than anything else. When we got to the customer’s house, we uninstalled the old unit and started with the process of fitting a new boiler. It was snowing heavily when we were fitting the unit. Though the house was warm from the fireplace, the warmth was not adequate. We suggested the customer upgrade the dial thermostat and get a new supply for the furnace filter from the local store. The store was running a furnace filter for sale promotion. We had also gotten the new furnace from the heater for sale promotion the company was running. After the process, the customer offered us a mug of hot cocoa as we waited for the storm to die down. It was a pretty rough day but ended on a warm note.
