Uneven heating and cooling in my office

It wasn’t long after we moved into our home when I realized that my home office had uneven heating and cooling. I decided to call an HVAC specialist to see what could be done to improve the situation so I could actually be comfortable while I was working. The HVAC specialist told me that one major issue was the clogged up ductwork. He also said he suspected there was a problem with the insulation in the office environment. It did feel far cooler in the winter and far warmer in the summer than any other parts of the household. It’s kind of a shame that we bought the house in the spring season when the temperatures were just right, so I couldn’t tell there were uneven temperatures until later on. Fortunately, the HVAC specialist had solutions to the issue. He took care of the ductwork cleaning and he gave me a business card of a contractor where they will add sufficient insulation in your home. So I called that contractor and these people were just as nice as the HVAC specialist was. They were able to handle the issue and they even showed me how poor the insulation was previously. I decided to have insulation redone in the entire house. While this did cost a great deal of money, I have been feeling the differences in the peak seasons and I appreciate having stable temperatures in my home these days. Lately though, I have been thinking about going for a zoned HVAC system, so that I can have customized temperature control settings in my office.
