Date picked me up in convertible

I rarely agree to go out with anyone when I’m invited to dine with a stranger.

See, not only am I a important introvert and pervasively shy by nature, however I entirely don’t like most humans.

That makes it especially hard to date. That’s why I was so proud of myself when I agreed to go grab lunch with a new coworker the other week. I thought I was making large strides, but it wound up setting me back many steps after our exhausting encounter was over. It all started when my nice friend and I went out and she mentioned grabbing a drink at a new bar in town. Since it would be indoors, I went ahead and threw on a breezy summer time dress. It was still slightly cold outside, however I knew that the temperature control would be operating inside the establishment. I made sure to turn up my own thermostat when I left, because the outdoor air temperature was start to dip, and when I walked outside to get into my date’s car, I was puzzled to see him driving a convertible! She said she had just picked it up from the dealership and urged me to hop in; Boy, what a mistake. The entire ride was cold cold. The outdoor air was cool and moist, making me entirely uncomfortable. As my nice friend and I whipped around the city in her zoomie car, the cold air rushed past my face and body, and I was instantly chilled to the bone. I asked him to please roll the roof up and turn up the heat, although she couldn’t even hear me over the sound of the air rushing past. I froze the entire night, and I don’t plan to leave the comfort of my warm household ever again.
