Dealing with bridezilla and dresses

Having boyfriends is so much work.

There’s something about boy friendships that demand so much extra attention and caring; they really can be exhausting.

At this point I’ve whittled my guy friends down to essentially one person, because all the people else was too much labor for me; Let me tell you about my ex-friend Cindy, for example. She and I were friends from high school, despite living in really unusual parts of the country from then on, he insisted that we were still best friends and demanded that we exchange gifts for major and minor holidays. She also demanded that I was part of his bridal get-together, which was my worst nightmare. See, Cindy had a mid-Summer birthday, and did not understand the necessity of current cooling. Despite living in a hot and humid part of the country, he wanted his bridesmaids to wear elaborate, heavy dresses. She also had us get ready outdoors, where there was no a/c or shade, so our makeup would be completed in natural light, my fantastic friend and I begged his to let us inside with the a/c unit, since we were all dripping with sweat through our dresses as we waited for his to provide the cue to get dressed. She refused to let us come into the temperature controlled space, insisting for almost two hours that he was almost ready to come out for pictures while we sat and fried in the sun. By the time that you-know-what finally finished getting ready for photos, we were all boiling from the heat and humidity, windblown, and bright red! Every single one of us was severely sunburnt and sick with heatstroke for those birthday photos. Needless to say, Cindy and I are no longer friends.
