Roommate is falling apart like an outdated heating device
It is funny because it always is the same pattern when someone moves in.
They are all nice and cheerful for the first few months and then things fall apart.
My flatmate was the same, all joking and cheerful, but now she has changed to a grumpy agitated lady who seems to not be cheerful in general. This is why I like to live alone but I decided to supply a flatmate another shot, but it seems to be following the same trend as the others. Not all my flatmates have been frustrating, but this one is aggravated with air conditioner of all things. It is the start of May and the temps at evening are not dropping as low and I am finding myself heating up when I try to sleep, so I decided to turn on the a/c unit at evening before I go to bed. She said that the unit is loud in her powder room, where it is situated of all arenas, and now she said she can’t sleep anymore. Well, running the climate control system is going to be a regular thing, especially in the summer time when it gets certainly hot. If she can’t handle this and can’t use earplugs like I recommended then she may have to hit the road because I will need the system running every single evening till the middle of October. None of the flats in this town are perfect, but having a central Heating and Air Conditioning system is a luxury that I am not going to deny myself when the temps are this high.
