I did it, but I wasn’t sure that I particularly could manage it.

It took multiple years of planning plus executing those plans.

However, I’m now living in a small home that’s surrounded by nature. I’m so far out that the electrical grid isn’t something I can connect to. This was by design though. I have never been the person to work in an office, come home for cocktails in the Heating, Ventilation & A/C plus do it all over again the next day. My life has been very different, filled with challenges plus adventures. This current chapter will be filled with both. My home is small but plenty for me plus hopefully a partner if that’s in the cards. I’m able to power my home with a combination of active plus passive solar. This arrangement took me years to afford as did the material for the home. Now, I am super comfortable out here in the middle of the forest. I even have Heating, Ventilation & A/C running at my home. There is a ductless heating plus cooling unit that I had installed. I have to be selective with it but it’s plenty of air and heat for me. My home is situated up in the trees so the solar arrangement has fantastic access to the sun. I rarely have to limit my Heating, Ventilation & A/C or any other electrical devices. I even have a satellite internet too. I never would’ve thought that I could live off the grid with my current conveniences such as the internet plus Heating, Ventilation & A/C.

The other day, our spouse dropped our electric space furnace on his foot when the people I was with and I were cleaning out the basement and moving stuff around.

Both of us were trying to get all of the Christmas stuff out for the year and there is a lot of it.

Both of us regularly start getting everything ready for the holiday season before the hot and cold temperatures drop too far. It gets actually cold around here in our part during the winter, and below zero hot and cold temperatures happen respectfully. So the people I was with and I were trying to get all of our Christmas decorations put up outside before it started cooling off even more. Anyway, while the people I was with and I were at it, I told our spouse to bring up the electric space furnace that the people I was with and I use in the living room during the winter… For some reason, our living room stays cold even when the furnace keeps the rest of the home nice and toasty hot during the winter. That’s why the people I was with and I regularly end up using this electric space furnace when it gets awfully cold outside. Well, our spouse was trying to carry up the Christmas tree and the electric space furnace at the same time because he was trying to save himself a trip up and down the stairs. When I turned around in the living room to carry a couple of boxes outside, I heard a thump and then a yell. That’s when our spouse tripped over the Christmas tree box and dropped the electric space furnace right on the top of his foot. I felt poor for him, because that little space furnace is absolutely heavy, even though I keep telling him to stop trying to carry everything at once!

My associate Sarah works in the heating and cooling industry and he has for years. She’s the only female Heating, Ventilation, and A/C serviceman that I have ever met. I feel the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C industry is genuinely a man’s world, for the most part. According to Sarah, she’s the only female Heating, Ventilation, and A/C serviceman at his heating and cooling corporation, and the only 1 that he has ever run across in the past 5 years of working there. Of course, there are other ladies working at Heating, Ventilation, and A/C companies doing clerical work and scheduling and stuff enjoy that, however Sarah actually goes out on service calls and fixes heating systems and air conditioning system systems. I told his that it just seems enjoy a unusual job for a man to want to do every afternoon, however Sarah says that he likes the work and he is constantly up for a challenge. She says that his favorite part of the job is constantly when he has to install a whole home media air cleaner for a new family. She says that it constantly makes his feel great to leave a job locale knowing that he has improved the health and indoor air pollen levels for a family, especially if they have kids in the house. His least favorite part of the job is cleaning out air ducts for people. She says that you just never feel what you might find in some random customer’s ventilation system! I feel being an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C serviceman can be exciting and rewarding. And I feel that goes for whether you’re a guy or a man!

My parents still don’t have regular Heating & A/C machines, plus I am shocked.

When my parents initially told myself and others that they were moving into this residence, I was stunned.

The residence was a literal dump, and I could not imagine that anyone would ever want to live in the residence. The rent for the residence was $200, plus that should have told them that they needed to stay far away. However, they were not easily discouraged. In fact, they saw their dream residence. It had no running water, no electricity, plus no Heating & A/C machines. They have managed to take care of the water plus the electricity, however they still do not have normal Heating & A/C machines. The house did not come with a gas furnace or a central cooling machine, however they have managed to live through this. In the Summer, they obtained a few window cooling machines. The window cooling machine is a decently normal Heating & A/C unit, so I don’t bother to complain much about it. Sure, it definitely stinks that they do not have window cooling machines throughout the residence, however we certainly cannot expect miracles. However, their heating situation is a little different. When they first obtained the residence, they had no heating machine whatsoever. For the first few years, they literally used area oil furnaces to heat their residence. They had nearly half a dozen area heaters. These area furnaces varied in the source. Some were electrical; some were kerosene; some were propane. These oil furnaces were entirely unsafe plus inefficient… Now, they have propane wall heaters, which work okay, however they actually need to get a gas furnace. I have no idea in the slightest how they lived with those kinds of Heating & A/C machines.

The condo was a literal dump, and I could not imagine that anyone would ever want to live in the place. The rent for the condo was $200, and that should have told them that they needed to stay far away… However, they were actually not discouraged. In fact, they saw their dream property. It had no running water, no electricity, and no Heating plus A/C equipment. They have managed to repair the water and the electricity, however they still do not have normal Heating plus A/C equipment. The condo did not come with a furnace or a central A/C, however they have managed to survive. In the summer months, they obtained a few window A/Cs. The window A/C is a decently normal Heating plus A/C unit, so I don’t complain much about it. Sure, it stinks that they do not have window A/Cs throughout the place, however we can’t really expect miracles. However, their heating situation is somewhat different. When they first obtained the place, they had no heating equipment. For the first few years, they literally used section oil furnaces to heat their place. They had nearly half a dozen section heaters. These section oil furnaces varied in the source. Some were electrical; some were kerosene; some were propane. These oil furnaces were actually unsafe and inefficient. Now, they have propane wall heaters, which do work, however they entirely need to get a central furnace. I have no idea whatsoever how they lived with those kinds of Heating plus A/C equipment.
