I knew I had to stay on my diet.
I never thought about how my weight was affecting more than my wardrobe.
I was sitting at the table the other day, and I had to get up to turn the thermostat down again.
The air conditioning didn’t seem to work like it once did. I called the HVAC company and asked if they could look at the air conditioner. After they did their inspection, they told me the air conditioner was working fine. I couldn’t believe this until I went to my family doctor for my annual check-up. He told me that with the added weight; I had too much insulation. I would mind the heat more than most people. I walked out of there knowing that I had to get on and stay on a diet. I went home with a newfound determination. I would lose the extra one hundred pounds I had gained over the last ten years. My resolve waned quickly when I went to work the next day. The smell of pizza coming from the break room was almost too much. I knew I had to get away from the smell, or my diet would fail. I wished the airflow in the building weren’t so good. If there wasn’t such good airflow, it would contain the smell to the break room. I left the office and went to the nearest grocery store and grabbed a bunch of vegetables to put in the office refrigerator. Other than that, I could quit my job, but that wouldn’t make sense. It’s not their fault they have excellent HVAC that allows for such good airflow.
